Spider Cupcakes

Ingredients  

– 1 (18.25 ounce) package chocolate cake mix – 1 pound black shoestring licorice – 1 (16 ounce) can white frosting – 48 pieces candy corn – 48 cinnamon red hot candie – ¼ cup orange decorator sugar

Directions

Prepare cupcakes according to package directions. Let it cool completely.

Cut the licorice into 3-inch pieces. Working with one or two cakes at a time,

to prevent the frosting from forming before decorating, frost the cupcakes with white frosting. 

Insert the licorice slices into the outer edges of the cupcakes and cut out the spider legs, 

 3 legs on each side (4 takes up plenty of room). 

Place two candy corns for the stingers on the front of the cupcake and use the two red flames as eyes. 

Sprinkle with decorating sugar. Repeat with the remaining cakes.
