Peanut Butter & Berries Waffle Sandwich

Whole grain freezer waffles are the perfect base for healthy breakfast flavors like a classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich. We use soft peanut butter to top it off, but you can switch to a creamy version, if you like. 

If fresh fruit is not available, you can use frozen fruit; Microwave in a small bowl for about 30 seconds before adding to the sandwich. 

Ingredients  

1 whole-wheat freezer waffle, toasted 1 tsp crunchy natural peanut butter ¼ cup of fresh mixed berries, such as raspberries, strawberries and blackberries ½ tsp honey 

Directions

Cut the waffle in the middle of the bottom. Spread peanut butter on one half.

Put the berries in a small bowl and break them up with the back of a fork. 

Sprinkle on peanut butter then drizzle with honey. Top with the remaining waffle half.
