Espresso and Cappuccino Freddo

Ingredients  

– Strong black coffee for 2 (e.g. 2 x two espressos), chilled – 20 ice cube – About 120 ml / ½ cup almond milk, I use homemade – maple syrup, to taste  – 2-3 green cardamom pods or vanilla pod slices

Directions

Make a strong coffee – roasting dulls the flavors so I suggest making 50-100% stronger than usual.

Duncan likes to make single root coffee in his beloved Aeropress and I make me two espressos. Let your coffee cool.

Divide half of the coffee between the two cups and pour the other half into the blender.

If you like the flavor of your coffee, add a little maple syrup (or sugar).

Add the ice and blend on high for a few minutes, until most of the ice is broken and the coffee is slightly foamy.

Top your coffee with iced coffee blend (optional) and drizzle with cold almond milk to take the edges off.
