Delicious ham steak recipe that goes well with green beans and roasted potatoes.
– 1 (8 ounce) bone-in fully cooked ham steak – 5 tablespoons butter, cubed – 5 tablespoons brown sugar
Gather ingredients.
In a big oven-safe skillet over medium heat, sauté the ham steak for three to four minutes per side until browned.
Remove the ham from the skillet and drain off excess grease. In the same skillet melt butter over medium-low heat. Add the brown sugar.
Return the ham to the skillet. Simmer about 10 minutes or until the ham is warmed through and the brown sugar has dissolved, stirring the ham often.
If the mixture of butter and brown sugar starts to boil or splatter, reduce heat.
Pour, then enjoy!
