Air Fryer Stuffed Mushrooms are a delightful appetizer or snack that combines the earthy flavor of mushrooms with a savory, cheesy filling.
The air fryer ensures that the mushrooms are perfectly cooked with a crispy top, while the inside remains tender and juicy. This recipe is easy to prepare and delivers a gourmet experience with minimal effort, making it perfect for parties, gatherings, or a tasty treat at home.
Ingredient – 12 large button or cremini mushrooms, stems removed – 4 ounces cream cheese, softened – 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese – 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch) – 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish) – 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped (optional) – 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning – Salt and black pepper to taste – Cooking spray or olive oil
Instruction 1. Prepare the Mushrooms:Clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel and remove the stems. If needed, use a small spoon to create a slightly larger cavity for the filling by scraping out a bit more of the inside of the mushrooms.
Make the Filling: – In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped chives (if using), dried Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
– Stuff the Mushrooms:Spoon the filling mixture into the mushroom caps, pressing down gently to ensure they are well-stuffed. You can slightly mound the filling on top of each mushroom for a more generous bite.
Cook the Mushrooms: – Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush with a little olive oil to prevent sticking. – Arrange the stuffed mushrooms in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch.
