PEPSA – A Multidisciplinary Perspective On Intervention for Neurodevelopmental Disorders



This workshop will provide participants best practices from the field of behavior analysis to promote independence, teach social skills, and address problem behaviors.

Participants will be able to:

  • Define the primary phenotypic characteristics of individuals with Fragile X syndrome (FXS) as an example of a neurodevelopmental disorder (NDD) requiring specificity in intervention planning. 
  • Understand the multiple levels of brain processing and appreciate how it impacts development, learning, and intervention. 
  • Understand the importance of using proactive strategies in managing hyperarousal and motor planning issues across daily environments with strategies pulled from best practice in occupational therapy, speech/language therapy, and general development.

Registration is mandatory! Deadline for registration is Thursday September 14th, 2017 and limited to the first 150 participants that register.
